It started with a short poem I wrote about compulsive walking during a rough patch. That restlessness morphed into Bruno, the android in the diary. In general, I guess my stories begin when a small image or feeling refuses to leave me alone until I find a world for it.

Not really. I work more through visual drafts and share with a few readers for feedback. What about you?

As a journalist, mine are all nonfiction. I have been in print all my career with the modern web push. l learned to read them out loud to catch the sentences that read too long to the ear
